Options Management are professionals who provide vending services, vending machines, snacks, confectionary, hot and soft drinks, and ingredients that meet healthy eating criteria, supplied by fair-trade sources. Below are a number of case studies that illustrate how Options’ flexible approach and expertise delivered the right solution for the respective vending scenario.
CASE STUDY 1 - LOW STAFF/TRADE COUNTER
This company only employed four people. They had customers calling in at the trade counter for their products. Due to the small number of staff employed, sometimes customers had to wait whilst staff finished either on the phone or with other waiting customers.
Although customers never said anything, sometimes there was the feeling of customers getting impatient whilst waiting for service.

We contacted the company and suggested two options which would be suitable for the trade counter location. Either one compact Quickbreak incup machine or one table top fully automatic profile drinks machine. This would enable customers to have a drink whilst waiting for service and help alleviate their frustration.

The system was installed and as a result not only did it help alleviate the customers anxiety but also led to added business, as competitors in the town did not offer this type of facility. This facility cost the company a few pence, however, resulting orders on many occasions resulted in hundreds of pounds with the additional business.
This is based on a Quickbreak and pro-automatic drinks machine.
CASE STUDY 2 - SMALL OFFICE/VISITOR REQUIREMENT
This company had five office staff with four sales staff who attended monthly meetings in the boardroom. Everybody used the kitchen area, resulting in mess and time that was taken up by staff self brewing, taking time to buy tea and coffee from the cash and carry, etc. It was therfore decided to install a high quality, low cost drinks machine.

When Options Management contacted them, we recommended that the installation of one compact, high quality Flavia drinks machine in their kitchen area with a facility of a portable Flavia SP100 brewer unit that could be located in the boardroom or for any small meetings, where nobody wished to be disturbed. This in turn eliminated all the mess caused in the kitchen along with the saving of staff time.

CASE STUDY 3 - IMPROVED DRINKS AND SNACK MACHINE SERVICE
This company employed 85 people, only a small drinks vending machine and no confectionery machine.
The company contacted us with regards to a totally operated filling and cleaning service. We looked at their operation and after consultations with the client decided that we would install one hot and cold drinks machine and one combined snack and can machine.
Based on the package that we offered, the revenue through the machine covered all costs and generated a profit for our client with no operational involvement from the client whatsoever.

CASE STUDY 4 – COMPLETE VENDING PACKAGE FOR SCHOOLS (GREENVEND)
This High School with over 1,000 pupils and an adjacent sports centre wanted to introduce a range of healthy bottled drinks and provide a clean, convenient way of recovering the used drink bottles and cans for recycling.

A bank of vending machines offering healthy juices, flavoured waters and smoothies was installed with fingerprint recognition, to reduce cash handling.
The bank also included a recycling machine that accepted cans and plastic bottles, awarded points on a voucher for each deposit, so incentivising recycling. Points were added up each term and the pupils with the most points won prizez (ipods etc) and the top form for the year won an 'away day'.

Sales increased and the school achieved a recycling rate of around 20,000 containers per month! This helped them qualify for Eco-School status. In addition, litter and time spent on waste management were reduced significantly.
